64.75% of new email subscribers

Hey,

So for the last month we have been playing around with our email opt-ins on IncomeDiary.

We decided to make all of them promote the same offer and tracked the results to see which converts best and in what order.

The opt-in techniques we use are:
  • Homepage Opt-in
  • Footer Opt-in
  • Sidebar Opt-in
  • Squeeze Page
  • PopUp Domination
Which do you think converts best? In what order do you think they come?

We will release all the data soon. For now, I can tell you which came first and which came last.

In last place came the sidebar opt-in. 

Looking at the stats, it’s probably not even worth us keeping... it performed that bad! 

I would of thought it would convert better considering most people look to the sidebar for subscribe boxes. The good thing about this is we no longer have to waste that real-esteate promoting something that doesn’t work for us.

The best converting opt-in… by a land slide… beating all 4 other techniques combined, was PopUp Domination.

Over 64.75% of people who subscribe to IncomeDiary, did so via our PopUp.

That means, if you had to choose between PopUp Domination and all other email marketing techniques, you would be better of just using PopUp Domination.
